**PLEASE NOTE: This work is *NOT* "Cosplay". Cosplay is an action, whereas what I am featuring here is a COSTUME. Please do not call my work 'cosplay'. Thank you for understanding.**

Just a progress picture, since I've had requests to post them :)

I have most of my armor shaped and mounted and painted with a base coat of hammered silver. Now that it's mounted I can see that I want to trim some stuff since it's sitting rather close together. I also need to tweak the shaping on the chest since it pulls away from the body rather than hugging my shape. This will eventually be painted in a burgundy accented with golden yellow. The kama I threw on just to see what it looked like, it will be dyed burgundy eventually. It's a piece of suede leather.

Oh man.. this is rediculusly hardcore, it looks awesome! I read in the lower comments you haven't finished it, and I apologize if you mention it somewhere I haven't seen, but what sort of materials are you using for the armor bits?

Thanks!

It's sometimes sold under a name brand, Sintra, but it's also called plastic foamboard. Sometimes sign shops will sell you scraps of it for cheap or even in sheets. You can shape it with a heat gun. I used a bunch of tutorials on the Mandalorian Mercs forum, those guys are great :)

Great thank you! :) I've been wanting to make armor for a while, both mandalorian, and engineering armor from Dead Space, thanks for the info! I hope you get this beast costume done in the near future!!

So it's been three and a half years.... how's your armor coming?

It's not. Someone was going to help me finish my helmet, and that was two years ago. I no longer have it. So, not going to finish it. :p

Oh, COME ON! We were racing in the slowest, most drawn-out race possible! Tell you what. I'm working on a helmet right now that I'm going to cast. If I send you one at cost (just the resin cost and shipping), will it jump-start things?

Probably not, I was making my helmet for a small head ;)
Honestly I have too much on my list for the next two years, and my armor didn't look very pro. I think I bit off more than I could chew. I need to get better with props before I try for Mando again.

Nice COSPLAY! :D

Now that I have hopefully accomplished my task of vexing you. Very nice Mandalorian COSTUME. Are you working on the Mask as well? Also are you leaving it silver or have you decided on a color? Nice work though. I am thinking of creating my own but I am not sure where to start. :p Any who very nice.

Are you sure you want to piss off a girl wearing Mando armor?! :evillaugh:

I was working on the mask, but I'm not good with props so someone offered to finish it for me, and I never heard about it again, so I've given up on this costume until I'm better with props.

But to start, I'd go to the Dented Helmet and the Mandalorian Mercs. A wealth of information and tutorials, and they're very helpful :)
