So far, what I have on my White Witch Battle Dress. I am recreating the battle dress that Jadis wore in the first Narnia movie. After trying on my underdress I realized how short I looked in this (horizontal line across the hips makes short people look shorter... plus Tilda Swinton is 5'10", and I'm 5'0"). I am wearing gigantic platform boots under this so I'm more in proportion. Now that I can see the size of my panels (there will be 5 total, this large one and 4 skinny ones, plus 5 triangular gores) I will enlarge them all by a couple columns.

About 6 months left til deadline! So far the whole belt assembly weights 1lb, 14oz.

What are the stats on the chainmail? What gauge metal, ring diameter, and ring material? It looks wonderful, very tightly woven.

That's AWESOME! How did you put the chain-mail together, if you don't mind me asking? I've been wanting to do this forever, but never found out how.

Thanks!

What I'm doing is called 4-in-1 chainmail and is the standard stitch. It's not too hard once you get the hang of it. I made a blog entry about my process with links to the chainmail tutorial I used and my source for bulk ordering rings:

Hope that helps!
